Environmental Training and Interpretation

Environmental Training Services are provided by C&R Consulting by Dr Chris Cuff, Dr Cecily Rasmussen and Dr Daniela Ceccarelli in an extensive variety of disciplines and fields. Training courses can be tailored to suit any level of student from school level to Professional Industry Conference, and can be designed to suit any budget.

 Dr Chris Cuff was Dean of the Faculty of Science at James Cook University, Foundation Director of the National Key Centre for Economic Geology, Director of the Advanced Analytical Centre, and Senior Lecturer in Chemical Mineralogy in the Department of Geology. Chris has supervised numerous Honours, Masters and PhD Theses on the chemistry of waters and soils and their interactivity within the environment. Prior to joining James Cook University, Chris has lecturered in Oil Technologies at Imperial College, London and has aided as a Scientific Advisor to the UK Ministry of Energy. Chris has published and lectured in the areas of Environmental Chemistry, Hydrogeochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Hydrology, Thermodynamic Applications, and Chemical Geomorphology.

 Dr Cecily Rasmussen has had extensive experience working within the Educational Sector including as Tutor in Geomorphology, BioGeography, Hydrology and Statistics and the design and coordination of Geomorphological Field Studies at James Cook University. Cecily has experience in designing and producing lectures, supervising Postgraduate Students, and lecturing in classroom and field situations. She was also the Director of the Siemens Science Experience for many years, and introduced the Girls in Maths Physics, Science and Technology Course to James Cook University.

 Dr Daniela Ceccarelli has tutored and lectured in the School of Marine Biology and Aquaculture at James Cook University, including courses such as Marine Conservation Biology and Biostatistical Analysis. She has also worked as a course coordinator, lecturer and field ecologist in the international field-based education programmes offered by Tevene'i Marine. She has experience in designing and producing lectures, supervising independent student projects, and lecturing in classroom and field situations.

 C&R Consulting have prepared and conducted environmental training programs ranging from half-day seminars and workshops to multi-module training programs, delivered to all levels of management over a structured schedule. Programmes are tailored with emphasis on hands-on training and practical skills assessment.

C&R Consulting staff have been involved in all stages of training development and delivery, including preparation of course materials, background documents, presentation materials, workbooks and toolkits, assessment exercises and feedback forms.
