C&R Consulting have vast experience and history in working closely with Natural Resource Management Organisations and community groups to provide cost effective solutions to environmental issues.
Past projects include the provision of a social and geographic history of the Black River Catchment for North Queensland Dry Tropics NRM. This pamphlet was to be used to encourage landholders to become engaged in whole-of-catchment management.
C&R Consulting were also involved in a project that involved the collation and assessment of data regarding the ecological
condition of tidally influenced areas for a 300km stretch of coastline in North-Queensland on behalf of the local NRM Organisation. This data was used to determine the beaches that are more susceptible to detrimental impacts from vehicle access and identify priority areas requiring vehicle management. This project involved heavy liaison with multiple government departments, including the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM), the Queensland Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI), Three Local Councils, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA).
